Wayman Raleigh Kramer

Batesville

Wayman Raleigh Kramer, 88, of Batesville, departed this life on Monday, March 6, 2023.  He was born on June 3, 1934, in Newport, Arkansas to Earnest Cricket Kramer and Pearl Harris Watts.

He worked in the heating and cooling business and retired from Caterpillar.  He served our country in the Air Force.

His family said he was legend in his mind as he loved music and playing the guitar, dobro, and singing.  He and his wife, Jessie, sang for over twenty years at the Daffin Manor in Batesville.  He also enjoyed “tinkering” around with various things.

Wayman is survived by his  wife, Jessie, of the home; sons, David Kramer (Rhonda) of Rosie, Brian Kramer, of Nebo, Illinois, and Keith Kramer of Batesville; his daughter, Dawn Purple (John) of Springbay, Illinois; step children, Leroy Dunn (April), of Austin, Arkansas, Donna Gilbert (Tim) of Benton, Illinois, and Charlotte Dunn, of Muskegon, Illinois;  twenty four grandchildren, several great and great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside Service will be Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Maple Springs Cemetery in Rosie with Bro. Tom Doty officiating.
