Thomas Richard Smith

Thomas Richard Smith, 64, departed this life on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Thomas was known by others as “Tommy”.  He was born on November 18, 1958, in West Memphis, Arkansas to Billy Harold Smith and Betty Rose (Runyan) Smith.

During his working years he worked as a firefighter for 25 years. When he wasn’t working as a firefighter, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Razorbacks.

He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas.

He and Elizabeth Anne Reynolds were married on May 20, 1994, in Wynne, Arkansas.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Anne Smith; son, Jared Moise (Janell) of Searcy, Arkansas; daughters, Jamie Kite (Donnie) of Texarkana, Arkansas and Nicki Miller (Phillip) of Searcy, Arkansas; sisters, Cindy Bius (Bill) of Marion, Arkansas and Mary Thompson (Nick) of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Madison, McKinley, Kennedy, and Liam Miller, and Peighton Moise; nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and other family members.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church at Mount Pleasant, Arkansas with Bro Elvis Sneathern officiating.

Burial will follow the service at the Melbourne Cemetery in Melbourne, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Stan Price, Bill Holmes, Rick Spicer, Michael Blagg, Kevin Brawner “Stumpy”, Vess Smith, Keith Carlisle, and Shawn Clouds.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 24, 2023, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.
