Ruth Marie Peacock

Ruth Marie Beaver Peacock, 89, of Batesville, departed this life on Monday, November 24, 2025. She was born on March 11, 1936, in Beaver, Arkansas, to Carl J. Beaver and Maybell Pyles Beaver.

Ruth was a caring and compassionate lady who loved tremendously and valued her call as a pastor’s wife. Together, she and her husband, Robert H. Peacock, served as missionaries for over six years in Africa as well as pastoring several churches. She was a gifted pianist, organist, and teacher in the Lord’s work.  Ruth was a loving caregiver for her husband for many years until his death in 2017.  She also worked as a secretary during her working years.

Ruth was a member of the 1st Assembly of God Church in Batesville.

Ruth will be missed by her children, Robert Stephen (Janet) Peacock, of Hurst, Texas, Phillip Peacock, of New York City, New York, Cheryl (Brian) Bernard, of Petal, Mississippi, and Patricia (Darren) Wilkes, of Batesville; her brother, Glenn (Betty)Beaver, of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren, Brent, Elizabeth, Cory, Chad, Brandon, Nikki, Brooklee, Brett, Jamie, Tim, Aaron, Bethany, Cari, Jeremy, Emily, and Samuel; twenty-one great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Annabelle, Anna Mae, Carlene, and Mary Etta; and a brother, Carl Allen.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Believers Community Church with Bro. Glenn Beaver officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brian Bernard, Brent Peacock, Tim Wilkes, Brandon Bernard, Aaron Wilkes, and Tyler Counts. 

Burial will follow the service in the Egner Cemetery in Southside.

A time of visitation will be Wednesday, December 3, in the Believers Community Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until service time.
