Ronald Wayne Kiekel

Ronald Wayne Kiekel, 90, of Cave City, Arkansas departed this life on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

He was born on August 10, 1935, in Minneha, Kansas, to Harry Herbert Kiekel and Hazel May Wetzel Kiekel.

While studying drafting at LeTourneau University in Longview,Texas, Ron became good friends with his fellow student Dale Bennett. Dale introduced Ron to his sister Rosalind Bennett in Maine, NY. Ron and Rosalind married soon after. The union produced Diane, Paul, Don, and Roy.

During his working years, Ron was a truck driver who successfully delivered house trailers. Among his other occupations, he also taught and practiced drafting and design. He enjoyed traveling on his BMW or Honda Goldwing Motorcycles, or his GMC pick up truck, during his trips to see family and friends. His interests included aeronautics, wind and solar energy, and all types of engineering, and mechanical devices.

Ronald enjoyed living on the land in Arkansas, farming, and visiting with the good people he met while living in Arkansas.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Paul David (Carey) Kiekel, of Portales, New Mexico and Binghamton, New York, Donald Gene (Kathy) Kiekel, of Binghamton, New York, Roy William (Kim) Kiekel, of Johnson City, New York; his daughter, Diane Rose Kiekel Moss, of Binghamton, New York; his grandchildren, Ray Benjamin, Steven David, Noah, Sierra, Titus, Theresa, Deborah, Jacob, Joshua, Timothy, Rebecca, and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Valor, Hannah, Sarah, Joshua, Jonathan, Zachary, James, Lydia, Frederick, Lucy, Elizabeth, Lily, Hazel, and Theodore.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Marcia C.Hadley Sabol, who passed away in 2015.
