Evening Shade

Listen to Obituary

Robert Lee Lynch, 62, of Evening Shade, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at his home.  He was born in Hammond, Indiana, on November 13, 1964, to Robert Lee Lynch, Jr. and Rita Chambers Day.

He and Susan Taylor were married in Edmore, Michigan, on September 20, 1996, and enjoyed more than 30 years of marriage together.

Robert will be remembered as a loving and generous man who cherished his family. Spending  time with his grandchildren was the highlight of his day.  He loved gardening and had a true “green thumb” for growing vegetables and flowers.

Robert especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and chasing them around, creating memories they will treasure forever.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army. He also served his community as a police officer in the Tuckerman area for more than eighteen years and most recently worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Susan Lynch, of the home: his mother, Rita Day, of Evening Shade; his sons, Gage Lynch, of Evening Shade, Rex (Jackie) Taylor, of Edmore, Michigan, and Justin (Laci) Thompson, of Alabama; his daughter, Ashley (Josh) Cook, of Paragould; his brothers, Tony (Jennifer) Lynch, of Cabot, and Randy (Deanna) Lynch, of Portage, Indiana; his sisters, Char (Terry) Enloe, of Hammond, Indiana, and Susan (George) Crawford, of Portage, Indiana; his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Veronica, Jayden, Nevaeh, Liam, Kaisen, Kinsey, Skylar, and Alison; as well as several nieces; nephews; and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lynch, Jr; his sister, Tammy Houseman; and his son, Nicholas Taylor.

A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service.
