Peter Delaney

Peter Delaney, 62, of Batesville, left his earthly life on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in Batesville.  Peter was born on May 22, 1964, in Oswego, New York, to Gerard Delaney and Elizabeth Teufel. 

He served our country in the United States Air Force and also worked in law enforcement for over twenty years.  He enjoyed building things including repairing, cleaning, and restoring firearms. He also enjoyed being able to create a life by homesteading, in which he enjoyed being self sufficient and living on the land.

He is survived by his sons, Brian (Marisah) Delaney, of Salisbury, North Carolina, and Ian Delaney, of Conway, South Carolina; his dughter, Melissa Delaney, of Conway, South Carolina; his sister, Patty Delaney, of New York; three grandsons, Christian Messineo, Liam Delaney, and Mason Messineo; his best friend, Tim Graham, of Batesville; his nieces; and nephews.
