Patsy Sue Martin

Patsy Sue Martin, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 24, 2026 at her home in Pleasant Plains. Patsy was born in Steprock to Richard Henry and Stella May McDougal McLaughlin on September 12, 1937. Patsy was a member of Roosevelt Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Zedd; her two sons, David and Randy Martin; her brothers, Jim, Bob, Doil, and Dan; her sisters, Betty Lou and Doris; her nephews, Danny Beaver and Terriell McLaughlin;  and granddaughter-in-law, Tabatha Martin.

She is survived by her sons, Doug, Ronnie, and Donnie,; her sister, Dasiel Beaver; as well as her grandchildren: Andy (Kayla) Martin, Chance Martin, Matt (Danae) Martin, Cody Martin, Laura Martin, Meagan (Shannon) Fennell, and Dustin Martin; along with 19 great-grandchildren- Hayden, Bentlee, Chloe, Layla, Reeci, Tylen, Raelynn, Millie, Kaylynn, Traiten, Lynley, Payson, Archer, Tessie, Josie, Gracie, Elsie, Sawyer, Bristol; and one great-great granddaughter, Haisley, and her dear friend of 54 years, Louise Doyle.

Patsy loved her Lord and Savior and assured her family that she was ready to go to heaven. She enjoyed cooking for everyone who walked through her door, rocking grand babies, gardening, and most of all being “Memaw” to her grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Roosevelt Cemetery on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Mike Churchwell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Roosevelt Cemetery fund.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
