Patsy Sue Hawkins, 80, of Batesville, departed this life on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, in Cherokee Village. She was born on March 1, 1944 in Thayer, Missouri, to Carl Lester Robertson and Edith Standage Robertson. Patsy and Donald Ray Hawkins were married on August 3, 1963, and were married fifty-five years until his death in 2018.
Patsy was a homemaker during her lifetime and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She loved her family dearly and in turn they loved her deeply. She enjoyed being outdoors, working in her yard, looking at birdhouses, solving word search puzzles, and shopping. She especially liked the Publisher’s Clearinghouse so she could enter the sweepstakes. Although she wasn’t too fond of cooking her granddaughters remember all the wonderful food she would cook!
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Donald Ray (Diane) Hawkins, II, of Cherokee Village; her daughter, Nicki (Billy) Mason, of Batesville; her brothers, Harold (Norma) Robertson, Bobby (Heidi) Robertson, and Mike (Tina) Robertson, all of Thayer, Missouri; her sister, Carolyn (Mark) Clark, of Hot Springs; her grandchildren, Mallory, Ethan, Billy Joe, Amanda, Jennifer, and Trey; fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces; nephews; extended family; and friends.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Ashley, great grandson, JP, sisters, Veneda Swetnam, Francis Anderson, Kathy Rogers, and brother, James Robertson.
A Celebration of Life for Ms. Patsy will be Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Believers Community Church, 3645 N. St. Louis Street, in Batesville.
