Myra Jeanine Johnston

Myra Jeanine Johnston, 92 of Floral, Arkansas, left this earth for her heavenly home on September 2, 2026. Jeanine was born in Concord, Arkansas on April 2, 1934, to Clee and Opal Collard Martin.

A woman of immense warmth and unshakeable faith, Jeanine was known by all for being truly joyful and full of the Lord. She carried a light that she couldn’t help but share, eagerly speaking of God’s goodness with anyone who would listen, and to some who wouldn’t.

Music was the heartbeat of her worship. She filled her home with praise, constantly singing and playing the piano. She wrote many poems and songs about her Lord. She deeply loved her family and cherished the times spent together, especially with her Grands! Her greatest joy and lasting legacy was passing her musical gifts and love for the Lord down to her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her two sons, Alan Johnston (Mary) of Floral and David Johnston (Denise) of Batesville; three Grandchildren, Bridget Johnston, of Little Rock, Martin Johnston and Taylor Johnston of Batesville; five beloved Great Grandchildren, Hunter Howell, Zach Howell, Drake Johnston, Jagger Johnston and Kasen McGee; and one sister, Louise Blount.

Jeanine was preceded in death by her loving husband Waymond Johnston; her parents, Clee and Opal Martin; and three brothers, Wallace Martin, Jimmy Martin and Ray Martin.

Jeanine’s legacy of faith, music, and unwavering love for her family, will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Grove Methodist Church with Bro. David Insell officiating.  Burial will follow the service in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Floral.

Pallbearers will be John Crawford, Wesley Gay, Ronnie Head, Steve Insell, Harry Lewis, and Tim Ramsey.

Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
