Michael Keith Nye

Michael Keith Nye, 73, of Batesville, Arkansas, departed this life on November 16, 2025 in Batesville. He was born on August 29, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Oliver Kenneth Nye and Doris Rose Monroe.

Micheal loved being a musician and will be remembered for his talent of singing, playing the guitar and drums. He loved country music and was often favored with the talents of Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson. 

He began his career in Kansas City, Missiouri and played in many different venues traveling with his band, Trigger Mountain.   His later years he worked in the food services industry at Peco Foods in Batesville.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Nathan Bishop, of Kansas City, Missouri; his daughters, Nicki Nye, of Kansas City, Neeley Bishop, of St. Cloud, Minnesota, and Tressie Nye, of Catawissa, Missouri, and her mother, Dana Nye, of St. Louis, formerly of Batesville; his brother, David Nye, of Platte City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Devereaux and Kaiden.   

Michael is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Darrell Nye.
