Melody Ann Rasmussen

Melody Ann Rasmussen, 62, of Cave City, departed this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. She was born on December 25, 1963, in San Gabriel, California, to Thomas Rhoades and Barbara Ann Bushman Pope Rhoades.  

Melody was a devoted homemaker who devoted her life to her husband and children. She enjoyed the outdoor life which included fishing.  She also was creative in her ability to make different crafts.  Her most favorite time was attending sporting events with her grandchildren.

Melody is survived by her husband, David Rasmussen, of the home: her sons, Michael (Melinda) Rhoades, of Sidney, Thomas (Kalena) Rasmussen, of Neosha, Missouri, David (Brandi) Rasmussen of Pyatt, Arkansas; her daughters, Kimberly Rasmussen and Tina Rasmussen, of Alaska, Courtnie (Armond) Barrett, of Alaska; her brothers, Tom Rhoades, of Cave City, John Rhoades, of Bald Knob; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service.
