Melba Ruby Sutterfield

Melba Ruby Sutterfield, 87, of Batesville, departed this life on Thursday, September 18, 2025.  She was born in Pleasant Grove, Arkansas, on March 13, 1938, to Dalton Kelley and Fannie Davis Kelley.

Melba was involved in farming throughout her lifetime and enjoyed cooking and spending time with family especially her newest addition, her first great, great, grandson, Kolsen Gray.

She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Cartwright, of Batesville, and Debera Hubert, of Wenatchee, Washington; her brother, Earnest Kelley, of Newnata, Arkansas; her sister, Lola Mikelka, of Rodgers, Texas; her grandchildren, Lonnie Sutterfield, Brooke Edwards, and Whitney Scales; eight great grandchildren; one great, great, grandson; several nieces; nephews; and friends. 

Melba is preceded in death by her parents, Dalton, and Fannie Kelley; her husband, Beemer Sutterfield; her son, Dalton Sutterfield; five sisters; and two brothers.
