Linda Sue Hollingsworth

Linda Sue Hollingsworth, 75, of Charlotte, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026. She was born on February 9, 1951, in Eupora, Mississippi, to Samuel and Martha Cook, who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Richard Shanks, and her beloved husband, LG Hollingsworth.

Linda was also preceded in death by three of her sons, Timothy Gaffney, LG Hollingsworth Jr., and William Hollingsworth, as well as her granddaughter, Crystal.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Gail (Edward) Strate; her grandchildren, Savannah Strate, Dalton Booth, David Hollingsworth, and Marlena Hollingsworth; and her great-grandchild, Jace Booth.

Linda is also survived by her siblings, Samantha Valdez of Southside, Arkansas; Samuel James Cook of Southaven, Mississippi; Richard Shanks of Michigan; and Tom Shanks of New Jersey. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, including Brianna and Taylor King; Kaitlyn and Darrell Hargrow; Hope Cook; and Samantha Shanks, along with her great-nephew, Easton Lopez, and many others who loved her dearly.

Linda worked for many years as a certified nurse’s assistant in a nursing home, where she devoted herself to caring for others with compassion and kindness. She was a true believer in the Lord and carried her faith with her throughout her life.

Linda will be remembered for her strength, her caring heart, and the love she had for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Service will be Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service in Southside, Arkansas.
