Larry Dewayne Carlson

Larry Dewayne Carlson, 58, of Newport, departed this life on Monday, July 29, 2024. He was born on July 24, 1966 in Meridian, Mississippi to Kerry Carlson, Sr. and Mary Loretta Watkins Carlson. 

During his working years he worked as a manager for Walmart.  During his younger years he played football for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He enjoyed fishing and had a great compassion for animals especially cats.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Larry is survived by his brother, Mikel Carlson, Jr., of Holly Springs, Mississippi; his nieces, Karen Carlson, of Batesville, and Angel Morgan, of Magness. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Kerry Wayne Jr, and sister, Lora Bailey.
