Karen Jean Knatcal

Karen Jean Kapales Knatcal, 69, of Batesville, departed this life on Sunday, August 29, 2021. She was born in Hoxie, Arkansas, on November 21,1951 to James Eugene and Mable Audrey Aileen Carter Kapales.

Karen and Bobby Knatcal were married in California on January 10, 1969, and together they celebrated over fifty-two years of marriage.

During her lifetime she worked for over fifteen years at Batesville Water Utility. She loved people and enjoyed housekeeping. Throughout her lifetime she cleaned several businesses and offices.

She loved her family and one of her favorite times was cooking for them especially at Christmas when she would make various types of candies. Her children said her food was “amazing”. At one time she was a chef in Batesville.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Bobby James Knatcal.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby, of the home; daughters, Vanessa May (Danny) of Floral, and Sara Holifield (Sam) of Batesville; her sisters, Aleta Sue Spencer (Dennis) of Cherokee Village, Patsy Jo House (Scott) of Jonesboro, and Sharon R. Kapales of Little Rock; her grandchildren, Kaleah, Meghan, Joshua, Elly, and Daniel; great grandchildren, Aaron, and Alice; several nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members and friends.
