Jimmie Harold Platt

Jimmie Harold Platt, 81, of Southside, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, August 3, 2025, in Heber Springs, Arkansas. He was born on September 28, 1943, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Harold Platt and Belah Floyd Adams Platt.

He served our country in the National Guard. Jimmie worked as a truck driver and a Pastor in Jamestown. He found much enjoyment in hunting and fishing and was an avid sports fan. Jimmie was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his son Timothy Platt of Heber Springs, Arkansas; daughters Candel Miser (Gary) of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas and Kim Demaris of Searcy, Arkansas; brother Timothy Platt (Ashely) of Heber Springs, Arkansas; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.

Graveside Service will be Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Kyler Cemetery in Southside with Bro. Brian Garrett officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Reeves, Derick Miser, Dylan Platt, Carter Platt, Kaleb Young and Calvin Salter.

Honorary Pallbearers will be James Anderson, Wesley Don Brooks, Greg Wood and Darin Wood.
