Jessie Marie Melton, 81, of Batesville, departed this life on Sunday, April 19, 2026. She was born on October 23, 1944 in Norman, Oklahoma, to Edward Leroy Graveline and Verne Marie (Herndon) Graveline.
Marie was a member of Compass Church in Batesville. During her working years she worked in the cafeteria for the Batesville School District and Triangle Cafe in Southside. She also was a bartender for the American Legion.
Marie was a most creative lady. She was a most talented seamstress who also had the ability to crochet and make beautiful crafts. She also loved the outdoors and enjoyed working in her garden.
Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Martin (Tina) Berman, of Cave City, and Allen Wayne (Kami) Brucher, of Batesville; her daughter, Lisa (Wally) Dacus, of Southside; her brother, Billy Graveline; her grandchildren, Danielle Berman, Royce Brucher, Trent Brucher, Stephanie Palmer, and Alex Palmer; two great grandchildren, Fallon and Cheyenne Hawkins; several nieces; nephews; and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and other family members.
A Celebration of Life for Ms. Marie will be Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. in the Kyler Cemetery with Bro. Bill Jarvis officiating.
