Freddie Book, 78 of Concord, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at his home with his loved ones by his side.

He was born in Piggott, Arkansas, on April 18, 1946, son of Herbert and Gladys (Gordon) Book. Freddie spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was united in marriage to Linda S. Smith on September 10, 1966, in Flint, Michigan. Freddie served in the United States Army from December of 1965 to October of 1967 during the Vietnam War. He retired from General Motors in 2001 after working for 37 years.

Freddie is survived by his wife, Linda S. (Smith) Book of Concord; children, Dale Book (Lisa) and Theresa Koval; grandsons, Alex Gasper (Eva) and Brendan Book; granddaughters, Misty See (Daniel), Bonnie Book (Joshua) and Samantha Spencer; great-grandchildren, Conner Marsden, Dallas See, Alliahnna See, Lili See and Lincoln Book and sister, Goldie VanWagner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Gladys Book; sisters, Delpha Simmons and Freida Brothers; brothers, Henry Book and Bill Book and his two beloved dogs, Cocoa and Foxy.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Doty Southside Funeral Service Chapel beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Chris Garrett officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Kyler Cemetery.
