Douglas Foster Downs

Douglas Foster Downs, 66, of Batesville, departed this life on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in Batesville.  He was born in Batesville on June 24, 1959, to William Downs and Betty Dew Downs.  

Douglas loved watching westerns and wrestling.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his nieces and nephews.  He will be remembered as a loving uncle who brought much joy to his family. He also had fur babies, Little Bit, who he is now with over the rainbow bridge, and Piglet which will miss him dearly.

He is survived by his son, Cody Downs and fiancée, Kimberly Medina, of Conway; his mother, Betty Downs, of Cave City; his brothers, Kelvin (Stacey) Downs, of Batesville, and Barry Downs (Khristina Mullins), of Cave City; his nieces, Michelle and Lee Peyton, Baylee and Chris Treadway, Marylyn and Shane Reynolds; his nephews, Michael and Tabitha George, Kelvin Downs, Clayton Downs; his great nieces and nephews, Ava, Ryker, Izzy, and Joseph; his fur baby, Piglet; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Downs and brother, Scotty Downs.

A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Doty Southside Funeral Service Chapel in Southside with Stephen Downs officiating.
