                         In Loving Memory of Donald Wayne Windland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Wayne Windland of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, who passed away on August 8, 2026, in Southside, Arkansas. Donald was born on August 26, 1952, in Steprock, Arkansas. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife, Retha Windland; his parents, June and Roberta Windland; and his sister, Doris Stephens.

Donald was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas. His faith was an important part of his life and reflected the love, kindness, and devotion he shared with others.

Donald had a passion for woodworking, building, and creating things with his own hands. He enjoyed working with tools and making and repairing things. He found joy in working on projects and sharing his skills with those around him.

Donald loved to laugh, loved to joke, and especially loved making other people laugh. His sense of humor and ability to bring a smile to those around him were among the many things that made him so special. His laughter, jokes, and joyful spirit will remain cherished memories for his family and friends.

Donald is survived by his four children: sons Brandon Windland and his wife Tasha, and Bradley Windland and his wife Jessica; and daughters Michelle Bui and her husband Teo, and Nekelle Pukas and her husband Matt. He also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren: Landon Windland, Kyler Windland, Zach Pukas, Gabe Pukas, Kaiden Windland and Adaleine Windland, who brought him great joy and happiness.

Donald will be remembered for his hard working spirit, his love for his family, his faith, his wonderful sense of humor, and the many ways he showed care through the things he built and the time he gave. His memory will be treasured by his family and friends, and his legacy will continue through the generations he helped shape.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Doty Southside Funeral Service Chapel, 2180 Batesville Blvd., Southside, Arkansas. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 270 Main Street, Pleasant Plains, Arkansas, with burial to follow at Union Grove Cemetery.
