Coy Linis Stephens, 69, of Pleasant Plains, departed this life on Monday, January 26, 2026 in Searcy. He was born on July 12, 1956, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Coy Stephens and Evelene Martin Stephens.
Linis loved farming and one of his favorite pastimes was riding around his farm with his dog, Little Bit. His gardening ability enabled him to grow several fruits and vegetables. He also loved watching old western movies and the Andy Griffith show.
He and his wife, Jennifer, were married on December 8, 2006, and enjoyed over twelve years of marriage until her death in 2018.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Jared (Amanda) Branscum, of Saffell; his daughter, Chantel Branscum, of Newark; his sister, Veheda Griffin, of Pleasant Plains; his grandchildren, Shae Boyd and Skilur Cooper; his nieces, Cindy Ciamaricone, Leslie (Robert) Galligher, Phyllis (Bill) Scroggins, Chrystal (Curtis) Durham, Judy (Kevin) Girtman; his nephew, Dave (Stacy) Stephens; and many friends.
Linis is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jennifer: his brother and sister in law, Edward and Doris Stephens; his son in law, William Wood; and his brother in law, Phillip Griffin.
Funeral Service for Linis will be Monday, February 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service, 2180 Batesville Blvd. In Southside, with Bro. James Vanoven officiating.
Burial will follow the service at the Pleasant Plains Cemetery on Wish Street.
Pallbearers will be Bill Scroggins, Robert Galligher, Noah Stephens, Robert Chambliss, Jamae Morgan, and Cameron Scroggins.
Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. and continue until service time.
