Christi Marie Goodman

Christi Marie Goodman, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed peacefully on June 24, 2025, at the age of 56. Born April 17, 1969, in Memphis, Tennessee, Christi grew up between Fayette County, Tennessee and Rosie, Arkansas, places that would forever hold her heart.

Christi dedicated much of her life to caring for others as an emergency room nurse. Her calm strength and compassion touched countless lives during their most vulnerable moments. Beyond her profession, Christi was known for her sharp wit and kind spirit—she could bring laughter into any room and never hesitated to offer help to someone in need.

A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Christi cherished studying the Bible deeply, always seeking to know her Savior better. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she often spoke of Jesus as the one true way to heaven. She especially treasured hearing her mother sing “Amazing Grace,” a hymn that brought her comfort and joy.

Christi was adventurous in her own quiet way. She gave birth to her only son, Dustin, in Hawaii—a place that remained dear to her—and even went skydiving once just to feel the thrill of flying. At age 50, she proudly completed her first marathon, showing her fierce determination and zest for life. She loved watching classic tennis matches from the 90s, rewatching The American President, and caring for her many beloved cats over the years, including Smokey and Puddin.

Her family was her greatest joy. Christi was the biggest fan of her son Dustin, believing with all her heart that he was capable of anything. She adored her two grandchildren, Scarlett and Cameron Jones, and was grateful for the love of her daughter-in-law, Marylynne Jones. Christi also shared an especially close bond with her sister Tracy, with whom she lived in Rosie, Arkansas. She deeply loved her niece Gabi and nephew Conley, finding delight in their lives and accomplishments.

Christi was preceded in death by her parents, Conley Goodman and Mary Kramer, whom she missed dearly. She often found comfort in memories of them and looked forward to their reunion in heaven.

At her request, there will be no formal service. Instead, her ashes will be lovingly scattered at places that held special meaning to her—Hawaii, near lighthouses that brought her peace, and alongside her parents—allowing her spirit to rest among the beauty she cherished.

Christi’s laughter, faith, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy is one of kindness, courage, and devotion—a life well lived, guided by her trust in Jesus and her deep love for those around her.
