Charles Wayne Agee

Charles Wayne Agee, 89, of Locust Grove, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, July 21, 2025. He was born in Paragould, Arkansas, on May 23, 1936, to Monroe Dean Agee and Clara Brown Agee. 

Charles enjoyed working with leather and was able to handcraft various items such as tack and saddles. He was often referred to as a “workaholic” who enjoyed staying busy. While living in Texas he worked as a prison guard and retired from that occupation after a few years.  He also enjoyed singing karoake.

Charles is survived by his son, Greg (Wanda Peterson) Agee, of Locust Grove; his daughter, Judy (Tim) Boozer, of McHue, Arkansas; a daughter-in law, Tina Agee; a step-son, Sam Bush;  his grandchildren, Annie, Adam, Bryan, Brandon, Cari, Tommy, George, and David; many great grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; two sons, David and Terry; and fourteen brothers and sisters. 

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service with Bro. Nick Shimmer officiating.
