Charlene Hailey

Charlene Smallwood Hailey, 81, of Batesville, departed this life on Friday, March 8, 2024, in Batesville.  She was born on October 22,1942, in Charleston, Mississippi, to Charlie Patterson and Bertha Leona (Jaco) Smallwood. 

She enjoyed reading, music, Western movies, butterflies, and the color purple. Charlene loved hitting the casinos and loved her baby dolls, Jack and Baily.  She was a very free spirited person who was full of life.

Charlene is survived by her daughters, Sheila, Shelley, Jamie, Judy, and Jennifer; her sister, Patsy Brooks; fourteen grandchildren, Ashley, Daniel, James, Mickey, Kayla, Justin, Ian Shawn, Adam, Amber H., Misty, Amber C, Beth, and Kristen; thirty-four great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Peanut and Bubba, her brothers, Hllton, Howard, Samuel, and Raymond, and her sisters, Vivian, Shelby, Brenda, and Debbie.

A Celebration of Life will be announced later.
