Betty Lou Parker

Batesville

Betty Lou Williams Parker, of Batesville, departed this life on Sunday, June 5, 2022.        

She was born in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, to Mel Williams and Ida Marie Huscusson Williams.

During her working years she was a bartender for White River Country Club in Batesville.

Betty enjoyed gardening, tinkering, traveling with grandkids, helping others, and spending time her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Parker; her parents; her brothers Junior, Gene, and Jim; her sisters Shirley Church, Evelyn Herman, Kathy Young, and Benna Belak.

She is survived by her children William Michael Parker (Bingyu Wang); James Ernest Parker, Jr. (Jennifer), and Lisa K. Smith (Richard O. Smith); grandchildren Yatian Yu, Christopher Smith (Lauren), and Samantha Smith (Royce Juris); great grandchildren Johnny Lin and Wren Juris; sister Leilani Costa Young and several nieces and a nephew.

A special thanks to Dr. Ian Parker, DO; Dr. Mark Williams, DVM, Gene “Cookie” Cook, and the caregivers at Mtn. Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Betty supported local charities as well as Arkansas Special Olympics.
