Anita Gaye Stone

Anita Gaye Davidson Stone, 84, of Searcy, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in Searcy.  She was born on July 21, 1942, in Wolf Bayou, Arkansas, to V A Davidson and Obie Arnold Davidson.

Having come from a large family with four brothers and four sisters, Anita understood the importance of family time.  She would grow up to be a homemaker herself and took care of her family. She enjoyed playing the guitar, singing with her sisters, riding motorcycles, quilting, and crocheting.  

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of fifty-seven years, Michael Stone, of the home; her sons, Artie (LuAnn) Cousins, of Drasco, Kenny (Judith) Cousins, of Avon, Indiana, Michael (Christy) Stone, of Searcy, and Jeff (Peggy) Stone, of Vilonia; her daughters, Gayla Rysdam, of Searcy, and Gwen (Bobby) Welch, of Searcy; her sisters, Kay (Bub) Woods, of Floral, Naoma Pinkston, of Desha, Wilma Jo (Andy) Gay, of Floral, and Verna (Steve) Bull, of Pleasant Plains; her grandchildren, T J, Heath, Lisa, Barbara, Amanda, Rebekah, Monica, Kenny Jr., Corey, Caleb, Caley, Rachael, Derrick, Brittany, Kailyn, Aleah, Lynlee, Mycal, C J, Brandon, and Jeremy; forty-five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; friends; and her beloved dog, Diva. 

Anita is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Tony Cousins; two grandsons, Paul and Kris Cousins; four brothers, Zenus, Gerald, Coy, and Toy Davidson.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Doty Southside Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. James Wheeler officiating.

Burial will follow the service in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Floral.

Pallbearers will be Heath Cousins, T J Cousins, Derrick Baker, Brandon Prince, Jeremy Prince, and C J Stone. 

A time of visitation will be Friday, October 16, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:.00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service.
